RIVER DISCHARGE

River discharge is an indication of the volume of water flowing through a river channel. The deviation from a natural river can have degrading impacts on the health of the river. It is measured in cubic metres per second (m³/s). The volume can be affected by human impacts and surrounding vegetation.
